GEN-I enters the Croatian electricity market

We are pleased to share with you the news that Poceni elektrika (Affordable Electricity) has also expanded into Croatia.

Once again, GEN-I sets the milestones; this time outside Slovenia. With its trademark "Jeftina struja", the company enters the Croatian electricity market for household and small business consumers and offers them electricity prices 10% lower than those of other providers, which is in accordance with the company's mission on fair prices for consumers. As the first provider in Croatia, the company gives a promise that the price will have a set upper limit until the end of 2015 and, in addition, new consumers can also expect a welcome present in the form of a free first month of electricity on condition that their contract with GEN-I Zagreb is concluded on 31 July 2013 at the latest. But it is already clear now that with a free and easy transfer to GEN-I new consumers can save up to 30 percent until the end of 2013.

GEN-I expects the Croatian market to respond to the new and most affordable electricity price in a similar way to the Slovenian one in 2009. The company is planning to acquire 20,000 consumers in Croatia by the end of 2013, another 50,000 in 2014 and by the end of 2016 the company's goal is to have a 17- percent market share of the Croatian electricity market.

According to existing demand, GEN-I believes that the possibility of choosing the most favourable provider will also be welcomed by Slovenian citizens who are the owners of real estate in Croatia. If they are also customers of GEN-I at home, their savings in electricity costs will be double.
