For owners of solar power plants with a connection consent under the new scheme (after 1 January 2024), we have prepared a special price list that guarantees a favourable price for electricity from the grid and a competitive price for the purchase of the surplus electricity generated.
The price list applies to household customers who are included in the individual or community self-supply system in accordance with the provisions of the Decree on the self-supply of electricity from renewable energy sources (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 43/22) and Chapter V (Self-supply of electricity from renewable energy sources and connection of self-supply installations and communities in the field of renewable energy) of the Act on the Promotion of the Use of Renewable Energy Sources (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia No. 121/21 et seq.), and taking into account the provisions of the concluded self-supply contract of the household customer.
The price list applies from 12 February 2024 onwards until revoked/amended.

*We supply electricity from 100% solar energy to all customers on the Regular Price List for Off-Take and Grid-Feeding of Electricity in Self-Supply of Household Customers.
**Price for the purchase of surplus electricity generated from renewable energy sources in a self-supply installation in €/kWh. The surplus is the amount of electricity fed into the distribution network from the self-supply installation (individual self-supply) or the quantitative share of production allocated to the customer’s metering point according to the production sharing key (community self-supply) in each billing period.
***The monthly fee is intended to cover part of the costs related to billing methods, investments in the development and digitalisation of GEN-I’s business.
The surplus of electricity generated from renewable energy sources in a self-supply installation in a billing period is the total amount of electricity fed into the distribution network from the self-supply installation (individual self-supply) or the quantitative share of the production allocated to the customer’s metering point according to the production sharing key (community self-supply). The surplus electricity generated is valued in accordance with the applicable self-supply price list and the amount thus obtained is included in the bill for the electricity supplied in the manner specified in the self-supply contract of the household customer.
If you choose to receive an electronic bill for each metering point (as a PDF bill in the Moj GEN-I portal or as an electronic bill in your online bank), you will be entitled to an ECO discount of EUR 1.00 excluding VAT (EUR 1.22 including 22% VAT) per month, thus reducing the cost of your monthly fee by half.
On 1 January 2024, a new Decree on the determination of electricity prices (Official Gazette of the RS, No. 107/2023; hereinafter referred to as the “Decree”) entered into force, which, inter alia, sets the maximum permitted retail price of electricity for household customers for 90% of the household customer’s actual monthly consumption for each tariff separately in the period from 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2024, with the remaining 10% of the household customer’s actual monthly consumption during this period being calculated according to the price specified in the contract for the supply of electricity, or in the applicable price list.
The maximum retail electricity prices permitted by the Decree are applied directly for 90% of the actual monthly consumption of a household customer which, at the time of the entry into force of the Decree, fulfils the conditions laid down in the Decree and which is subject to the “Regular Price List for Off-Take and Grid-Feeding of Electricity in Self-Supply of Household Customers”, valid from 12 February 2024 (or the applicable regular price list) for billing the electricity consumed in the period from the entry into force of the “Regular Price List for Off-Take and Grid-Feeding of Electricity in Self-Supply of Household Customers” until 31 December 2024.
For such self-supply household customers who meet all the conditions set out in the Decree, the tariff for 90% of the actual monthly electricity consumption during the period from 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2024 under the Decree will be for the ST: 0.09800 €/kWh (price excl. VAT) or 0.11956 €/kWh (price incl. 22% VAT). Taking the above into account, this means that only 10% of the actual monthly electricity consumption for the ST will be charged to the household customers included in the self-supply system during the period in question according to the “Regular Price List for Off-Take and Grid-Feeding of Electricity in Self-Supply of Household Customers” or the applicable price list.
The Decree does not affect the charging of other items under the above price list. GEN-I, d.o.o. reserves the right to supplement, amend or correct this notice in the event of changes to the Decree or relevant regulations.
The tariffs in all the price lists published on this website do not include the excise duty on electricity, cost of the network charge, energy efficiency contribution, contribution for ensuring support for the production of electricity from high-efficiency cogeneration and renewable energy sources (RES and CHP contribution), contribution to the operation of the market operator or any other levies imposed by the state.
The duration of each tariff item (HT, LT and ST) is defined in the Legal Act on the methodology for determining the regulatory framework and network charges for the electricity distribution system issued by the Energy Agency
In accordance with the provisions of the Decree on the method of determining and calculating the contribution for ensuring support for the production of electricity from high-efficiency cogeneration and renewable energy sources (Official Gazette of the RS, No. 116/2023, of 17 November 2023: hereinafter referred to as the “RES and CHP Decree”), household customers are temporarily exempted from paying the contribution for ensuring support for the production of electricity from high-efficiency cogeneration and renewable energy sources (RES and CHP contribution) for the period from 1 November 2023 to 31 December 2024.
