Earthlings and our little place under the Sun
GEN-I employees are involved in the Earthlings community. Our vision is food self-sufficiency, being more in touch with nature, environmental protection and striving for natural sustainable development.
We are modern urban agronomists from the ranks of GEN-I employees who, in addition to producing healthy food, are committed to sustainable development and environmental protection. We are experienced farmers and farmers at heart, gardeners, vegetable growers and beekeepers We are promoters of agricultural self-sufficiency and our mission is to spread green awareness among our colleagues, to raise awareness of the ecological food footprint, organic food production and sustainable lifestyles. Through our actions, based on a sustainable approach, we strive to improve the quality of life of GEN-I employees and the wider community.
In early July, we gave a home to Carpathian bees, a native bee species in our area, in an apiary on our farmland. The 5 hives house colonies that, at their peak, can number over 40,000 bees, and each colony can produce an average of around 40 kg of honey in an ideal year. We believe that our hives will also help to raise awareness of the importance of bees to our livelihoods.
Some of us have more professional experience in gardening, fruit-growing, herbalism, and beekeeping, while others are hobbyists with only small garden areas at home. We invite all GEN-I employees to join us, regardless of experience. Anyone who wants to take care of their own part of the garden in the future, relax, grow some of their own vegetables, socialize and learn something new is most welcome. The aim of the community is to promote green awareness among employees, to raise awareness of organic food production, to offer employees the opportunity to relax in nature, and to further improve the quality of life of employees.
We invite you to watch our presentation video, where we will take you through the GEN-I growing areas and introduce you to the future activities on our land.
