GEN-I Picnic and Sports Games

17/06/2022

This is the motto of the GEN-I Sports Club. We believe that it is by taking care of our health and staying “fit” that we can be so successful in our mission. That’s why we organize activities and events for our employees to promote well-being, good relationships, and networking.

So this year, after two years, we got together again for our traditional fun and recreational spring GEN-I picnic. Fun, sports, games and good food enlivened our first joint post-COVID-19 get-together, which we have all missed and eagerly awaited.

During the sports part of the picnic, our colleagues competed in a football tournament, played passionate volleyball team matches and competed in tennis doubles. Both the participants and the fans, who kept the atmosphere going on the courts, proved that we really never run out of energy.

With a team of over 500 people, it is important to organise get-togethers that give our staff the opportunity to meet their colleagues in a relaxed environment. As we have developed a hybrid way of working following the pandemic experience, the picnic was also a very welcome opportunity to catch up face-to-face with colleagues whom we work with more remotely than before. This year was also a special one for our nearly 100 new employees, who have joined us since the beginning of 2022.

Everyday at GEN-I

In the section ‘Everyday at GEN-I’, we present the Company’s culture, which we build and strengthen through various corporate activities and informal gatherings. You can find articles that introduce you to our colleagues – who they are, what they do and what working for GEN-I means to them.

We fondly remember May 31st, when 13 companies, including GEN-I, competed in 10 disciplines at the Slovenska energija 2025 sports event in Krško.
