The SUPERFORCASTING project
At GEN-I, our analysts deal with forecasting daily, and as a company, we place great emphasis on analysing data, conditions and situations, so with the Superforecasting project, we wanted to extend this mindset to all our employees. We all make predictions every day, and as part of our Superforecasting project, we do it systematically and monitor how successful we are at it. Researchers working on Superforecasting have shown that forecasting skills can be learned and improved with practice.
The project has already predicted the outcomes of events ranging from bicycle races to gas supplies from Russia (image below).

All our employees are invited to join the Superforecasting project. More than 200 active members presently follow current events on a wide range of topics at work, at home and around the world, and are interested in forecasting. By participating in Superforecasting, colleagues at GEN-I develop a different way of thinking, a more objective view of different events and how to turn their opinion into a forecast.
The Superforecasting (SF) project is an opportunity for each of us to try our hand at forecasting interesting events. By systematically monitoring their performance and developing forecasting skills, anyone can improve their accuracy. With the project, GEN-I is developing a new tool for making important business decisions.
