Energy Trader (m/f)

To achieve our ambitious goals, we need new talent – both experienced individuals and those just starting their careers. We are looking for experts in energy markets as well as those who have experience of financial markets and are ready to transfer their knowledge to a new environment and grow their careers as energy traders. We are primarily focused on electricity and natural gas trading, but are gradually adding other energy products and financial instruments to our portfolio.

Your challenges
  • Learning the principles of energy trading (electricity, natural gas, emission coupons and other energy products) 
  • To design and execute trading strategies on wholesale markets 
  • To support and take part in market analyses in collaboration with the trading analytics team 
  • To evaluate complex electricity products 
  • To monitor and manage risks in trading portfolios  
  • To take part in development projects in collaboration with support departments 
Our expectations
  • You will have at least Level VI education in economics, technical sciences, natural sciences or another appropriate field, and 
  • a desire to trade, an interest in what is happening on the market and a business-oriented mindset 
  • high levels of motivation, and a desire to develop and to learn about energy markets 
  • logical and analytical thinking 
  • determination, persistence and proactivity 
  • a goal-oriented mindset and the ability to achieve results with high added value 
  • good communication skills and fluency in English (a knowledge of other foreign languages is also desirable) 
  • an understanding of the characteristics of exchange trading or of asset management on financial markets (desirable)
