We will give you the opportunity to monitor and analyse energy market data, build numerical optimisation and forecasting models, including usage of machine-learning and AI tools. You will help us create the trading strategies that will launch GEN-I into global markets.

Your challenges

Innovative work: At GEN-I we will rely on your ability to analyse and interpret markets and build quantitative forecasting models. The energy market changes constantly, which creates a constant need for innovation in our approaches. Become a key part of the process of upgrading existing models and establishing new processes that will form the basis for trading strategies. 
Advanced technology: You will be using the latest machine-learning and AI tools to help you detect and interpret patterns across enormous quantities of data. 
Impact on business decisions: Your active collaboration with traders and portfolio managers will have an impact on the design and implementation of concrete trading strategies.

Our expectations

Education: You will have at least Level VI education in the natural sciences (mathematics, physics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, etc.) or economics. 
Knowledge and experience: The most important thing is a desire to learn about and understand the complexity of energy markets, and an interest in working with data and seeking out causal links within it. A highly developed ability to think logically and analytically is also required. Basic programming knowledge (ideally Python) and experience with relational databases are desirable. 
Personal characteristics: High levels of motivation, good communication skills, a willingness to be proactive and an ability to resolve complex challenges. A passion for and enjoyment of the work, and a desire to take responsibility. The ability to work as part of a team is crucial.
