HOUSEHOLDS / SUSTAINABLE SERVICES / COMMUNITY SELF-SUPPLY

Community self-supply

Electricity from a solar power plant even for those who cannot install it themselves.

Self-supply with no investment by the customer

Self-supply communities comprise solar power units installed by investors and community members, who are then supplied with electricity from those units.

We provide members of a self-supply community with the opportunity to lease a share of solar power units on a long-term basis, even if they are unable to install their own power unit. This provides customers with the high possible savings on their electricity bill.

Savings of almost EUR 10,000 in the first year of the Ajdovščina local self-supply community

Our first self-supply community began operating in March 2024, and had generated 672,000 kWh of electricity by the end of the year. This reduced CO2 emissions by 92 tonnes and saved members a total of EUR 9,823.

Between June, when most members joined, and the end of the year, each household saved an average of 10% on their electricity bills.

Yes. We will review the shares once a year based on customers’ consumption. We will then optimise those shares as required and, where necessary, propose that shares be adjusted.

Customers may also propose an increase or reduction in their shares themselves.
