15th Partners’ Meeting
At GEN-I, we stand by our customers and business partners in every situation, even in difficult times. For fifteen consecutive years, we have organised an annual meeting for our largest electricity customers to review the year and provide our partners with the latest data and information on energy leasing.
In her introduction to this year’s meeting, Member of the GEN-I Management Board, Andreja Zupan, pointed out that “last year, we got to the point where we were no longer asking about the price of leasing energy, but whether the energy would be available for consumption at all. However, the worst is now behind us, we have come through the winter successfully, and now it is time to look to the future and act.” Our actions will continue to focus on accelerating the green transition, for which GEN-I has laid many excellent foundations to date.
Since the beginning of 2021, we have been supplying our customers in Slovenia exclusively with electricity from solar, hydro and nuclear power. Through our subsidiary GEN-I Sonce, we have installed more than 1,800 solar power plants on the roofs of Slovenian households in 2022, bringing the total to more than 5,000. By expanding our business model, we are a leading provider of solar power plants for commercial customers and the owner of a newly built 17 MW solar power plant in North Macedonia. Our plans for 2023 are even more ambitious, both in terms of building more large-scale solar power plants in the wider region and in terms of the number of small-scale solar power plants.
We will continue to invest in the development of sustainable energy services, which will help us to remain not only an effective partner for business partners in the leasing of energy products, but also the first choice for partners and investors in the green transition to a sustainable energy supply. As always, we will communicate regularly with our partners, advise them and prepare offers for them, as emphasised in the joint press release of the Electricity Suppliers Section of the Energy Industry Chamber of Slovenia (EICS).
