Electricity bills for households affected by floods and landslides

07/09/2023

Recognising the importance of solidarity and in order to effectively help our customers, GEN-I has joined the action of the Ministry of Environment, Climate and Energy to reduce the electricity payment for household customers who suffered significant damage during the floods. Together, we are working to reduce the burden on those who have not been spared by the extreme weather.

A central register is being set up at the national level. It will be used to draw up a list of eligible customers who will be charged a reduced electricity price as a result of the damage they have suffered. As the procedures are ongoing and the final list is still being drawn up, the August bill will be issued at the unchanged price for all metering points. For those household metering points that will be eligible for a reduced price based on the above list, we will make a subsequent adjustment to the August bill to reflect the reduced price for that period.

In order to fulfil our promises, on 6 September 2023, in accordance with point 3.5.2 of the General Terms and Conditions of GEN-I, trgovanje in prodaja električne energije, d.o.o for the supply of electricity to household customers, we have published on our website the Electricity price list for household customers affected by the floods, whereby we have set the price for the electricity supplied in the period from 1 August 2023 to 31 December 2023 in the amount of EUR 0.00100 per kWh (excl. VAT). The price list will be automatically applied to eligible household customers as well as those household customers included in a self-supply system upon receipt of all the necessary information from the competent institutions on the basis of the Act Determining the Intervention Measures to Remedy the Consequences of the Floods and Landslides in August 2023.

It is important to note that, at this stage, there is no need to send any documentation to GEN-I as the supplier in relation to the claim. All the necessary information to apply for a reduced price for eligible household customers will be provided to us by the competent institutions in order to facilitate the process for you.

Together, we are working to help you recover from the catastrophic natural disaster that has hit Slovenia and we are supporting you in these difficult times.
