Carbon-free electricity, which we supply to all our customers in Slovenia from the beginning of summer 2021, has become a standard here. We have gone one step further and offer our customers the option of choosing the source from which we obtain electricity. The energy of the sun, water and nuclear energy can provide Slovenia with a carbon-free future and a green transformation.
As electricity suppliers, we are legally obliged to show end customers the structure of our energy resources according to the customer's electricity supply contract. We publish it on every invoice issued for the supplied electricity, on promotional materials, and on our website.
On this site, we also introduce you to the composition of production sources for electricity production from the supplier GEN-I, d.o.o., Vrbina 17, 8270 Krško, in the year 2023. Certificates on canceling the certificate of origin of electricity for 2023 can be found here. The certificate of origin (PoI) is a public document issued by the Energy Agency that proves the origin of electricity to end consumers.

Following the Act on the method of displaying information on the electricity bill and in the additional explanation (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 28/2023 with consideration of changes and additions), we inform you about the shares of individual production sources in the total composition of production sources of supplied electricity, the amount of CO2 emissions and the amount of radioactive waste for the total composition of sources of the electricity provided by GEN-I, d.o.o. in the year 2023.

The Certificate of Origin (PoI) is a public document issued by the Energy Agency that proves the origin of electricity to end consumers. GEN-I can boast that in 2022 we supplied 926,694 MWh of electricity from solar energy, 131,735 MWh from hydro, and 1,666,024 MWh from nuclear energy. In total, we supplied as much as 2,724,453 MWh of low-carbon energy.

The Certificate of Origin (PoI) is a public document issued by the Energy Agency that proves the origin of electricity to end consumers. GEN-I can boast that in 2021 we supplied 870,548 MWh of electricity from solar energy, 868 MWh from hydro, and 284,810 MWh from nuclear energy. In total, we supplied as much as 1,156,226 MWh of low-carbon energy.
