The legal department at GEN-I ensures legal certainty, business compliance, and support for the Group's strategic decisions. Our task is to ensure that business processes are lawful, business models are effective, and decisions are based on solid legal foundations.

Work in the legal department is diverse and dynamic, covering a wide range of legal challenges – from corporate law, contractual relationships, and customer relations law to support in trading and investment projects. We ensure that all activities of the GEN-I Group comply with legislation, regulations, and internal rules. In doing so, we cooperate with other business areas, prepare the legal basis for new products and business models, and provide support in trading and investments. In cooperation with our experts in the field of energy and sustainability regulation, we ensure that our operations remain strategically focused and in line with the company's sustainability objectives.

Our legal department covers three key areas:

• Corporate affairs, where we take care of the legal status, organization, and corporate governance of GEN-I Group companies in all countries where we operate. We also support investment projects in renewable energy sources.


• Contract management, where we provide legal support for trading in energy and financial instruments on the wholesale market, prepare and review contracts, and participate in the development of new business models. The latter increasingly includes the integration of renewable energy sources and sustainable products into wholesale electricity markets.


• Customer care legal support, ensuring the legality of business with household and business customers, and legal support for the development of new services in this area, such as self-sufficiency and energy storage.

The legal team consists of experts from various fields of law. We are united by strategic thinking, precision, and the ability to solve complex legal challenges. Cooperation between individual segments ensures comprehensive support for the GEN-I Group's operations, effective management of legal risks, and sustainable business development.
