From Poceni elektrika to
a leading promotor of green transformation
This year, we are celebrating the 15th anniversary of successful operations in electricity supply and the supply for households and small commercial customers. We have shared this journey with our customers with whom we are building a sustainable future. Together, we have accomplished several key milestones that have set solid foundations for our current and future operations.
Electricity for your homes
Our early days go back to March 2009 when we launched our trademark Poceni elektrika (affordable electricity). In May of the very same year, we started supplying electricity to our first customers. In just two decades, we have evolved from a small-scale electricity supplier to an international Group supplying electricity to more than 450,000 customers.
Reliable partnership
Our two main responsibilities vis-à-vis our customers are supplying energy at affordable prices and providing solutions that are as environmentally friendly as possible. We have received the Trusted brand award for the most trustworthy electricity supplier in Slovenia eight times in a row, and we have also been nominated three times as a Customer-Friendly Supplier. This shows we are a reliable and trustworthy electricity supplier.
Sustainable development
In 2021, we were the first ones in Slovenia to start supplying exclusively carbon-free electricity, giving our customers the opportunity to choose the source of energy from which we supply electricity. By choosing solar, water and nuclear energy, we are paving the way for a carbon-free future in Slovenia. With our vision being focused on the digital world, we provide numerous environmentally-friendly solutions in a digital form to our customers.
Smart solutions
In 2016, we founded GEN-I Sonce and installed the first solar power plant for self-sufficient supply. Today, GEN-I Sonce is a leading provider of solar power plants in Slovenia, constantly developing solutions for the expanded use of solar energy. This year, we have set up the very first example of a local solar community in Slovenia, thereby enabling affordable access to solar power to those who are otherwise unable to provide for energy self-sufficiency on their own roof.
