The price of natural gas for the supply of natural gas to household customers, small business customers, joint household customers, and protected customers as defined in Article 117 of the Gas Supply Act (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 204/21 and subsequent; hereinafter: GSA), who are connected to the distribution system and meet all the conditions for substitute supply under Article 18.a of the GSA, is calculated for the previous month based on the following calculation.

The price of natural gas as a substitute supply for a given billing month is expressed in €/kWh. It is calculated as the arithmetic average of the daily marginal purchase prices of natural gas for all days in that month, as published on the website of the transmission system operator PLINOVODI, Družba za upravljanje s prenosnim sistemom, d.o.o. (https://www.plinovodi.si/sl/obratovanje/trg-z-zemeljskim-plinom/izravnalni-trg-zemeljskega-plina/), increased by 25%.

The seller publishes the calculated natural gas price in €/kWh for substitute supply on its website no later than three working days of the current month for natural gas deliveries in the previous month.

The price of natural gas for substitute supply does not include value-added tax (VAT), excise duty on natural gas, the contribution for energy efficiency, the contribution for support of high-efficiency cogeneration and renewable electricity production, the costs of using the natural gas distribution network, surcharges and contributions related to the use of distribution networks, and any other public levies imposed by the state, which are charged in accordance with the applicable regulations. These costs are borne by the customer under substitute supply. Their change does not constitute a change in the natural gas price for substitute supply.

The Decree on the determination of natural gas prices from the gas system (Official Gazette of the RS, No. 98/22 and subsequent) and the Decree on the determination of natural gas prices from the gas system (Official Gazette of the RS, No. 45/23) apply directly to substitute supply customers who are eligible for the measures under these regulations.

Notwithstanding the provision of point 3.7 of the general terms and conditions for the supply of natural gas to customers connected to the natural gas distribution system in consumption groups CDK1 to CDK8 (inclusive), GEN-I does not charge customers reminder costs in the event of a delay in the payment of natural gas bills, the costs of the collection of unsettled liabilities or the full cost of such services if they are provided by third parties (enforcement officers, lawyers, etc.). This does not apply to the costs of enforcement proceedings that the court may order a customer to repay at a seller's request in formal proceedings, taking into account the rules set out in applicable legislation.
